BASIC BIRTHING PACKAGE

PRENATAL VISITS:

1-3 prenatal visits to become acquainted

Develop a birth plan based on priorities

Decide what role the Doula will play

Discuss pain management options

Address any concerns or worries

Discuss any special requirements

Determine when and where we will meet when labour begins

Discuss items to bring
LABOUR:
-
Constant support for the birthing person from the second stage of labour through 1-2 hours after the birth of the baby

Advocate for the birth plan

Provide comfort strategies

Assist with navigating unforeseen decisions

Offer support to the birthing person’s support people
POST NATAL:
-
Stay with the birthing person for 1-2 hours after birth, as needed/requested

Assist with initial feeding
-
Home visit after baby and birthing person is home to debrief the birthing experience
About Me
My name is Wendy Fuglsang and I am a DONA-trained Doula committed to guiding and supporting families through the incredible journey of childbirth. My path to becoming a Doula has taken a rich and diverse "scenic route," shaped by year of education and experience supporting families.
As a compassionate advocate for individuals and families, I have devoted my life to making a meaningful impact in my community. I am also a proud mother of two adult children finding fulfillment in balancing a rewarding career and a loving family life.
It would be my honour to support you during one of life’s most profound and transformative experience – childbirth.
